OUR FAVOURITE BUILDS SO FAR

We go through our favourite builds so far this year, there's already been some stunners...

We’re almost a quarter way through 2025, how time flies!

To ensure we make the most of it, we’re looking back on some of our favourite builds (in no particular order) since January 1st 2025. Motech wheels have seen their way on to some brilliant vehicles, we’ve lowered cars and added spacers, full body kits and more - maybe you’ll find some inspiration for your next build…

THE BLUE M2'S

We thought we’d cover both of these cars together, as they came in same-day and are just as breathtaking as each other.

Both of these cars are in BMW’s ‘Frozen Portimao Blue’ - ‘Frozen’ meaning they are a matte/satin version of the colour. The first M2 got some Gloss Polished M-WX's, and chose to upgrade his centre caps to our new 3-piece ones. The centre cap is such a small, yet vital part of the build - the extra touch of luxury makes the wheel look so much more layered and shows that real care has been put in to the design. This M2 also settled for Motech stance springs with a 35” front and 30” rear for even more of a hostile look.

The other M2 came in for a Maxton Design makeover - consisting of a Front Splitter, Side Skirts, Rear Diffuser, and Rear side spats. If the fantastically OEM+ look of the Maxton parts wasn’t enough, we also kitted this powerhouse of a car out with 12mm wheel spacers and Carbon Arch Guards - showing that the little things make the biggest difference. The stand-out for this car, however, was the Remus Race Exhaust, building the back out and pairing with the Maxton diffuser to make for such an in-your-face aesthetic.

Both vehicles were transformed in their own right, and it was really interesting to see how we could make two of the same car look both different and awesome.

THE SATIN BLACK M340i

One of the stand-outs about this car is definitely the colour - the frozen PPF turns it into a gorgeous matte colour, making the wheels and general stance of the car appear even more prominent. Before it came in this year, we had previously lowered the car for a higher back and a lower front, giving a mean, streamlined, stationary appearance. We also added the genuine BMW M-Performance Kit - it comes with a price tag but it is so worth it. Everything from the side skirts to the spoiler just works, and in that fantastic Gloss Black - it is the perfect kit for this car.

This year it was in for a Black Dinan Intake and a Remus exhaust with the ever-so stylish Gloss black and Carbon tips. The combination of the intake and exhaust makes for a low, powerful-sounding roar and the Carbon tips add that desired touch of class.

The build wasn’t complete, however, without the addition of some beautiful Neodyme Gold M-W3’s which look absolutely phenomenal. The Matte black of the car pairs so well with the shine and stand-out characteristics of the Neodyme gold M-W3s - which are the ideal spoke pattern for a car like this.

BLACK F10 (JAY'S CAR)

The special thing about this car is how much the Motech additions have changed it. Before doing anything with actual parts, we had our expert detailer Steve go over the paintwork, coat the car and ensure it was looking its very best. Once this was done, we added a front splitter and Eibach springs to give an OEM+ look. Jay’s idea for this car was to make it look as similar to an Alpina BMW as possible, so there was only one wheel for the job.

M-W5’s are Motech’s Alpina style wheel - and we chose to unveil a brand new colour in Gloss Polished with these. The Gloss Polish M-W5 pairs so brilliantly with the chrome grilles and the shiny (thanks to Steve) black finish of the car.

The wild-west look these give the car is spectacular - and it definitely deserves a place in the year-to-date’s ‘best-of’.

MINI GP3 IN RACING GREY

It can’t all be about the BMW, we do have quite a few customers who come in with Mini’s - and we love when we can transform their car for them.

This particular car is a Mini GP3 in Racing Grey - the ultimate track tool from Mini. The even sportier stance we added is thanks to the Nitron Adjustable suspensions - lowering the car beautifully to make it stand out even more.

This client opted for Neodyme Gold M-W1’s wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5s tyres - ensuring the drive is as smooth as the car looks. The gold of the wheel gives that sportier look, and this already had a rear spoiler and a built-out look at the front to create a stunning look.

X5 LCI IN BROOKLYN GREY

This car made it into the list because of its understated class, it looks so spectacularly OEM+ and the additions we made were just perfect.

Originally, this car was only in for the M-Performance Bodykit - with the desire to add a bit more bulk to the body and exaggerate some of the vehicles’ fierceness. However, when the client got here and started speaking to the guys at Motech - he quickly decided that he was going to kit out his car even further with a set of 22” Precision Black M-WXs (not forgetting the upgrade to our 3 piece centre caps).

With a Gloss Black bodykit fitted, and varying grey and black on various parts of the body - the colour of the M-WX’s works so well with this car to make it look like even more of a force to be reckoned with.

To conclude

We hope you enjoyed! We love all our customers' cars the same, these were just some bigger builds of stand-outs that we remember.
